WENDY
MCCRARY
Studio Director &
Watercolor Instructor
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Georgia State University. She began her professional life by exploring her passion for the outdoors and co-founded Weasel Creek Outfitters, Inc. with her husband, Brandon. After 10 years, Wendy decided to move back towards the art world by opening her own business, Helen's Arts&Antiques. It was here that she discovered her passion for painting and jewelry creation.
When she and her family moved to Norfolk, she took a job working with youth in an after-care school program.
Eventually, Wendy found a professional and friendly home at Art Studio on the Boulevard. She began teaching at the studio in 2015; here she expanded her mediums to include watercolor, charcoal/pencil, acrylic painting, and pottery.
Wendy is an avid watercolorist and is currently showing her 1920's era paintings at "Gallerie Ukwensi"--located on 21st Street in Norfolk. Her joy comes from sharing her love of art and creativity with the Studio's youth.
